Campus Safety

The Art Institute’s policies and sponsored housing rules strictly prohibit the possession of weapons and the illegal use of alcohol, controlled substances and drugs on the campus or in off campus housing. Violation of these rules or participation in criminal acts of any kind may result in prompt disciplinary action including expulsion.

Pursuant to the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, the Campus Security Policy and Report is available to prospective students upon request to the Dean of Student Affair. The report discusses, among other things, the importance of prompt reporting of crimes to college officials and local police; campus security procedures aimed at encouraging students and employees to be responsible for their own security and the security of others; counseling and other assistance available from The Art Institute to any student who may be the victim of a crime. No later than September 1 of each year, current students and employees receive the annual Crime Awareness Security Report, which includes statistics for the prior three calendar years.
