To receive an official transcript from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, you need to send a short note or letter which includes the following information:

• Full name while attending The Art Institute of Pittsburgh
• Dates that you attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh
• Program of study or major while attending The Art Institute of Pittsburgh
• Your Art Institute of Pittsburgh ID number or Social Security Number
• Your day and evening phone numbers
• Your home address
• Your e-mail address (in case we have questions)
• Address where you want your transcript mailed, and to whose attention
• Please note whether the intended recipient is a school or a business

1. A fee of $5.00 is required, payable in advance.
2. If a student is in good financial standing and does not owe a balance to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, they may obtain their official transcript(s).
3. Students with a Debit Balance:
   • Any student with a debit balance of $250.00 or less must pay the balance in full. This balance includes any non-financable charges.
   • Any graduate with a debit balance of $250.00 and above has two options:
     • Pay the entire balance and have an Official Transcript released.
     • Pay 50% of the debit balance and have the remaining balance put on auto-draft payments. Transcripts will be released as soon as the 50% is paid. Auto-draft can be from a checking account, savings account, or from a credit card. Unpaid balances after the 50% has been paid will use the following guidelines:
       1. Up to $500.00 -- 2 monthly payments.
       2. $501.00 to $1,500.00 -- 6 to 12 monthly payments.
       3. $1,501.00 to $3,000.00 -- 12 to 18 monthly payments.
       4. $3,001 to $5,000.00 -- 24 to 36 monthly payments.
       5. If balance is over $5,000.00, it must be paid down to $5,000.00 before arrangements (as described above) can begin.
4. Graduate students with a debit balance may have their transcripts released if their post-graduate payments (payments beyond graduation) are current.
5. Any student that has their account in collections must pay their entire balance in full before receiving a transcript.
6. Cash and quarterly payers must be paid in full. Payment in full includes any pending housing adjustment.

Please be aware that it may take 2 to 3 weeks to process your request. Graduates requesting transcripts for the first time are entitled to one free transcript.
