The Writers’ Center is located in Room 217. We are on the second floor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, down the hall from Admissions and around the corner from the rest rooms.

Monday: 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Tuesday: 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Wednesday: 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Thursday: 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Friday: 10:00AM - 4:00PM

Mission Statement

The mission of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Writers’ Center is to provide qualified writing consultants who support the academic, professional, and creative mission of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. We will create an environment that is accessible, comfortable, and productive. We will help writers understand and practice many strategies that effective writers use, from brainstorming to editing. We will focus on helping the writer develop skills and surface processes invaluable to their professional careers.
