Senior Studio Film to Screen at the Seattle International Film Festival

Recent Digital Film & Video graduate Alex Mendeluk's Senior Studio documentary, Designing the New World: Turning Crisis Into Potential, has been accepted into the 35th Seattle International Film Festival.

Known as the largest film festival in the United States, SIFF is also an Academy Awards ® Qualifying Festival for the Short Film category. The festival runs May 21-June 14, 2009 with screenings at 12 venues through the Seattle metro area.

The logline for Mendeluk's film is: "It's not about global warming. It's about mindful living."

Among the subjects featured in the film is actress Daryl Hannah and Art Institute of Portland's Bill Siebold, Department Director for Web Design and Interactive Media. Art Institute of Portland grads Olga Churkina and Brad Reeb crewed on the project.
