Housing Facilities

NEW HOUSING FALL 2009!
Check out our newest housing facility, The VUE.  Located on 1717 SW Park Ave, The VUE Apartments is located on the edge of Portland’s cultural district, across the street from the Park Blocks, and just one block from the streetcar line.  All residents in your apartment will be Ai students, however the complex is a blend of students and professionals.
 
Each retro-urban apartment has parquet wood floors, large windows, and great views.  The apartment has a living room, and is equipped with its own kitchen.  Each kitchen comes with a refrigerator, sink, and compact stove/oven.  Parking is available by contacting the complex directly, which you can do on move in day.  Parking is approximately $130.00/month. 
 
The complex includes a fireside lounge, TV room, fitness room, rooftop garden/sun deck, on-site retail, and Wi-Fi in the lounge, laundry room, and on the rooftop garden/sun deck.  Two bedroom apartments at The VUE have their own washer/dryer in the unit, while one bedroom units have access to great card operated laundry facilities.

  • Conveniently located at 1604 SW Clay Street just 3/4 of a mile from The Art Institute of Portland, and blocks from free public transportation.

  • Apartments come with all major kitchen appliances and are furnished, with the following:
    Living room set (sofa, and loveseat or oversized chair, end table)
    Bedroom (twin beds, dresser, nightstand)
    Dining set (table and chairs)
  • Cost includes rent, apartment furnishings, water/sewer/garbage, electricity, heat, and on-site staff and activities.
  • Residents include students from other Portland college and universities.
  • Located in the Goose Hollow area of Portland’s hottest social scene, including retail, restaurants, and more!

Built in 1912, The Arthur, The Art Institute of Portland’s newest housing location, is a completely renovated yet unique historic property in Downtown Portland. Located at 726 SW 11th Avenue, between Morrison St. and Yamhill St., - just SIX BLOCKS from The Art Institute of Portland, The Arthur is a 4 story building which houses up to 58 Art Institute of Portland students in both single and double occupancy rooms.

  • All rooms have their own sink, a built in microwave and mini-fridge, as well as cable and internet access.
  • Most rooms have a shared bathroom with one other room.
  • Rooms will also come with a closet, standard twin size bed, and a small computer table and chair.
  • The bottom floor is equipped with several computers, a lounge, laundry facility, bike room, eating area, and a large, double size kitchen for cooking.
  • The Arthur is one block from the Multnomah County Central Library, and next to the MAX line, as well as the streetcar line for easy access to The Art Institute of Portland and the rest that Portland has to offer.

 
To apply for housing, please complete a Student Housing Application, indicate on and submit your Housing Security Deposit at least 45 days before the start of the quarter. Student Housing is assigned on a deposit received and space available basis.
