Jam Out
President: Jeff McKerren
Vice President: Keith Schafer
Treasurer: Shane Wojtaszczyk
Jam Out is a music club designed to help students express themselves further in their education. Whether you play a musical instrument or not, you are encouraged to join if you have a love for music! This club has no problem helping out other students that are at a lower skill level than other members in the club as well. Also, students who don't know how to play an instrument are still able to help out in any way that is appropriate for the club, such as designing flyers based on the music. Jam Out is open to all The Art Institute of Portland students in good standing with the school. Our goal in this club is to encourage students to express themselves musically and be able to connect with other players. This will build students confidence. We try to get venues for school functions and events such as graduation and orientation. In doing so students can have confidence in playing in front of an audience and help further their social interaction with others, such as clients in job interviews related to program of study. The main goal overall in Jam Out is to have fun!
Jam sessions are at 4:30 pm on Thursdays in the Audio Room.
