With my work I want to create environments and scenes that don't exist in real life. I want to use my creativity to eliminate the boundaries of thought so that the viewer starts thinking by seeing one of my images. It's easy to gain inspiration for my work because everything in life can be translated to abstraction with no guidelines. This piece was inspired by the busy and lively city, Hong Kong. I interpreted 'Life is Better with Art in it' as how the skyscrapers in Hong Kong are designed with the use of an artistic mind and that is how I obtained this idea to create an abstraction of what the future architectural structures could look like. I used smooth, bright colors to emphasize energy, speed and life, the three key elements that portrays Hong Kong as a whole. This piece is designed to generate a modern and futuristic scene in the viewer's mind, where the green polygons represent building structures and the pipe-like objects as paths, or routes to connect these structures together.

Designing is a passion to me and I want to use it as a language to communicate with the world. I became interested in design about two years ago, when I took a Design and Technology class in high school. By coincidence I came across an online portfolio of a multimedia designer called Jens Magnus Karlsson. From that point onwards, I have been inspired to learn more about web designing and started to explore the design world myself. Through interactions with web designers online, I have learnt skills with software such as: Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash and 3d Studio Max. However, it is very difficult to self teach the qualities of a Multimedia Web Designer. By entering the field of designing it would enable me to fulfill my aspirations in becoming a web designer and use it in conjunction with my passion to create unique designs that would push the limits of the design industry.
