My design concept for the theme, "Life is Better with Art in It", is
represented by a hand drawn girl with a cherry blossom petal and a
photo that I took on my trip to Japan. The girl represents art since
she's carrying a sketchbook, wearing a camera around her neck, and
listening to music. Additionally, the girl is also art, my art.
The petal also symbolizes art because of a belief from transcendentalism:
Nature is Art. Then, the photograph represents life, or the real world,
which, in my eyes, would be boring without art.
So, everything that is hand drawn represents art is colored since art adds color to life, the photograph, and makes the world a more interesting place to live in. Because art makes life better, I decided that I want to enter the graphic design field to share my art with others. By entering this field, I'll add my color to the world and make it an interesting place to live in. I also want to express myself in a way that I love and so others can see my emotions and imagination in my art. |
