Design Concept To illustrate the idea "Life is better with art in it," I chose to use my environmental surroundings intertwined with my personal artwork. To portray life I took a black and white photograph of a large tree that was bare and desolate. The photograph of this bare tree symbolizes the bareness and dullness that life can hold at times. However life can be brightened and influenced by art. The abstracted section of the tree reveals this influence that art has on life. Life is very much influenced by color, visuals, and beauty expressed in many ways. This bare tree was 'brought to life' by the abstraction I created. Why I Want To Enter the Field of Graphic Design I have long since been passionate about art and its many aspects. As my talent and interests have developed I have channeled my creativity into design. I have recognized this development in many areas. Wherever I look I see design and I have learned to see it through a my "designer's eye." As I plan my future career, I consider an education that will sufficiently prepare me. An education in design would not only prepare me for a career that is applicable to today's world, but it would also allow for my creativity and passion to grow and expand. |
