Looking for part-time work to put cash in your pocket while you study? Or full-time work in your field after graduation? We're here to help.

Career Services

Your career goals come into focus with the first job in your field after graduation. The Art Institute of California — Sacramento Career Services staff works with you to make that happen.

The mission of the Career Services department at The Art Institute of California — Sacramento is to provide professional development resources and industry connections that assist students, graduates and alumni in the pursuit of entry-level employment in their chosen field of study.

The Career Services Department helps lay the foundation for your career search. The staff comprises dedicated advisors who work with students throughout their educational programs, and work with employers to market graduates and their capabilities. The staff generates job leads, matches graduate skills with employer needs, and helps graduates learn the lifelong skills to conduct a successful job search.

These experienced advisors also provide instruction on key job search skills such as résumé writing, interviewing, portfolio presentation, and networking. They provide one-on-one job search assistance for full-time employment in each student’s field of interest. In addition, individual job search assistance is provided for students who are seeking part-time employment while completing their program of study.

Every quarter, Portfolio Reviews are conducted where employers meet new graduates and view their work. Employer presentations and panel discussions bring up-to-date information on technology and design trends to the school community. Finally, career days, job fairs, and recruiting provide a forum for students and employers to interact.
