The Art Institute of Salt Lake City Appoints New Director of Admissions

SALT LAKE CITY (July 5, 2007) — The Art Institute of Salt Lake City, a media arts, fashion, culinary, and creative arts education institution, has appointed Joel Greer as the new director of admissions.

In his role, Greer will lead new students and staff through the admissions process at The Art Institute of Salt Lake City and provide ongoing counsel to students as they select the appropriate degree among the numerous programs currently offered at The Art Institute. Greer will be instrumental in preparing students as the school opens its doors on August 16, 2007.

"My main objective at The Art Institute of Salt Lake City is to create cohesion for the recruitment and enrollment processes," said Greer. "I am honored to be a part of an organization that provides new opportunities to the Salt Lake City area, and look forward to the first entering class."

Greer's additional higher education experience includes serving as the University of Phoenix state director of operations for the Colorado and Wyoming regions. His responsibilities included logistics coordination and student counseling. Prior to his role in operations, he was the admissions manager for the University of Phoenix in Colorado.

Additionally, Greer brings leadership experience from an extensive career in the automotive industry, culminating in vice president of operations for Land Rover of North America. He has also served in various leadership and executive roles in other premium automotive companies including Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.

Greer completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University in Psychology and received his Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
