The mission of the Library is to encourage learning, stimulate intellectual curiosity, and foster the creativity of both students and faculty. The Library executes this mission through its policies, collections, the Faculty Library Committee, through services such as Bibliographic Instruction, and through subject cataloging created by professional library staff.

Our collection holds over 12,100 books, DVDs, games, workshops, magazines, and other materials covering subject areas supporting all of the programs for The Art Institute of California—San Diego. Students have additional access to online databases including electronic collections of journals and images.

Other services: Library Technology includes five computer terminals with Internet access, a color scanner, laser printer, big-screen television monitor, and a photocopier are available to staff and students. The Library Learning Lab is available for open tutoring sessions between faculty/tutors and students during regular hours.
