Student Involvement & Activities
The Art Institute of California-San Diego (AiCASD) not only provides academic enrichment for students, but also promotes opportunities for learning outside of the classroom. Ai students can choose from twenty-two student clubs to get involved with, to develop their leadership and communication skills, build friendships and apply what they are learning in their classes. AiCA - SD offers an annual weekend leadership retreat to meet peers from other Ai campuses, develop critical thinking and leadership skills while enjoying the outdoors. Weekly Wednesday events from 12:00pm-1:00pm allow students to relax, make new friends and stretch their creativity. "Fresh Air Fridays" promote the importance of balance and exercise while "Friends in a Flash", a speed networking event helps students develop their interpersonal and networking skills. These soft skills students learn through their involvement will help tremendously when transitioning into the work environment upon graduation.
