Records: You must present a record of proof of high school graduation or GED, as well as a high school transcript.
In lieu of documenting high school graduation, applicants who have graduated with a bachelor's degree or higher (or its equivalent, if earned at an institution located outside of the United States) earned at an accredited institution of postsecondary education can provide official college transcripts showing degree granted.
Portfolios and College Exams: Portfolios are welcomed, but not required. Applicants who have taken the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT) are encouraged to submit scores to the Admissions Office for evaluation.
High School Seniors: High school seniors who have not yet graduated from school should submit a partial transcript that indicates their expected graduation date.
Applicants of The Art Institute of California — San Francisco are evaluated on the basis of their previous education, background, and stated or demonstrated interest in art, animation, multimedia and fashion.
