The mission of Student Affairs is to offer complimentary student services that enhance and support the academic, personal, professional and career needs of our students. We are able to do this through offering personal support and services in the areas of student life, disabilities, counseling, housing and residential life and student leadership. Student Affairs works closely with Academic Affairs, Career Services, Financial Services and other departments to help make your experience positive and successful.

The Art Institute of California — San Francisco consists of a richly diverse, creative and talented student body. Our students come from around the world and across the United States to experience San Francisco, one of the country’s creative capitols, and everything it has to offer.

Some of our students are away from home for the first time. We recognize that adapting to a thriving urban environment as well as navigating new life experiences such as paying bills, doing laundry, shopping and cooking, can be incredibly difficult. For our older students, the difficulties may stem from balancing work and school, families and other responsibilities. Through our housing, counseling and other support services, we help you alleviate those difficulties so that you can focus on studying, meeting friends, exploring the city and making the most of your experience in San Francisco.
