STUDENTS ADD THEIR COLOR AND DESIGN TO SCHAUMBURG SCION SHOWROOM
When Schaumburg Scion wanted to enhance the artwork in its showroom, they knew to turn to the students at The Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg for pizzazz. On Friday, March 14, from 6 – 8 p.m., the college students’ original work will be on display at the Schaumburg Scion showroom, located at 875 W. Golf Road in Schaumburg.
“It is important for Schaumburg Scion to work within the Schaumburg community on such a special project,” stated Christopher James Manczko, Scion Sales, who also coordinated this project. “We knew that the students at The Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg would be able to develop art that would appeal to our community and customers.”
While publicly displaying their work is already an honor for these college students, Schaumburg Scion sweetened the pot even more by awarding prizes, such as gift certificates and scholarships, for the top three entries. Judging will occur on March 14 and will be based on creativity, use of the Scion logo and/or Scion vehicle image and the expression of Scion values.
“It is an honor for Schaumburg Scion to select our students to display original posters in their showroom,” said David Ray, President of The Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg. “We look forward to a continued and strong relationship with the dealership.”
Photos opportunities, as well as opportunities to speak with representatives from Schaumburg Scion and The Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg will be available.
