Recent Work of Richard Hyde Now Showcased at The Ruth Ray Memorial Gallery
The Ruth Ray Memorial Gallery at The Illinois Institute of Art — Schaumburg presents an exhibition by Digital Photographer Richard Hyde and his recent work. The gallery is located at 1000 N. Plaza Dr., Schaumburg and is open to the public at no charge Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Hyde is an instructor at The Illinois Institute of Art — Schaumburg and has been using photography as part of his art since 1973. He is the recipient of various awards and prizes for his artwork, including national and regional juried exhibitions. Hyde's work is included in the art collections of individuals and institutions such as Mayor Richard M. Daley, August Pabst III (great-grandson of Pabst founder), renowned illustrator David Kimble, the firm of Peat, Marwick & Mitchell, and musician Alan Price. This exhibition marks his fourth one-man show at The Ruth Ray Memorial Gallery.
The opening receptions for the exhibition will take place on Thursday, June 11 from 2 - 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 13 from 12 - 2 p.m. Hyde's show will be on display through June 26.
