Student Life is an important aspect of a student’s time at The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg. The Student Affairs Department encourages student involvement in campus life and promotes each student’s personal and professional growth while attending the college. Students will find social opportunities like Open Mic Nights, socials in the student lounge, and trips to area attractions. These events are designed to promote networking among students of diverse backgrounds and interests, and to create a supportive community within our school.

The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg also believes that along with a solid technical education, students should be given opportunities to explore and understand their choices and how they impact our society. For this reason, the school hosts a yearly trip abroad, a Leadership Retreat, invites numerous speakers to discuss various art forms and community issues that affect us all, and participates in community service projects like the DCFS Toy Drive, Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life (American Cancer Society), and many more.
