The Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg map

Schaumburg is located southwest of the convergence of two major expressways and is just nine miles from O'Hare International Airport. It is also the home of municipally-owned Schaumburg Regional Airport, a Metro commuter rail station, and the PACE Northwest Suburban Transportation Center. Located 26 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, the Village of Schaumburg has emerged as the preeminent community in the thriving northwest suburbs. Schaumburg is characterized by a mixture of commercial/retail, office, and industrial development. This thoughtfully planned balance affords residents the opportunity to live, shop, and work in the village and contribute to - and benefit from - a sound economy and enhanced quality of life.

From O'Hare
When you leave O'Hare, watch for the exit to I-90 West (toward Rockford). Take I-90 West to Route 53 South. Go about 1/2 mile to the Woodfield Road exit. Go to Higgins Road ( Illinois 72 - 2nd stop light) and turn right. Take Higgins to Meacham Road and turn right. Go to American Lane (the second traffic light) and turn right. Go to the first stop sign, Plaza Drive, and turn left. The campus is in the first building on the left, ( 1000 Plaza Drive). The reception area is on the first floor by the south entrance.

From the Loop
Take I-90/94 toward O'Hare-Rockford. Follow the left branch at the split (I-90). Take I-90 West to Route 53 South. Go about 1/2 mile to the Woodfield Road exit. Go to Higgins Road ( Illinois 72 - 2nd stop light) and turn right. Take Higgins to Meacham Road and turn right. Go to American Lane (the second traffic light) and turn right. Go to the first stop sign, Plaza Drive, and turn left. The campus is in the first building on the left, ( 1000 Plaza Drive). The reception area is on the first floor by the south entrance.

From Milwaukee and North
Go south on I-94 to I-294. Remain on I-294 southbound to I-90. Take I-90 West to Route 53 South. Go about 1/2 mile to the Woodfield Road exit. From Joliet and South
Go north on I-355 to I-290/ Route 53 North. West on I-290 to the Illinois 72/Higgins Road exit. The first traffic light is Higgins Road, turn left and go to Meacham Road. Turn right on Meacham Road. Go to American Lane (the second traffic light) and turn right. Go to the first stop sign, Plaza Drive, and turn left. The campus is in the first building on the left, ( 1000 Plaza Drive). The reception area is on the first floor by the south entrance.

From Rockford and West
Take I-90 ( Northwest Tollway) eastbound to Route 53. Exit south on Route 53. Go about 1/2 mile to the Woodfield Road exit. Go to Higgins Road ( Illinois 72 - 2nd stop light) and turn right. Take Higgins to Meacham Road and turn right. Go to American Lane (the second traffic light) and turn right. Go to the first stop sign, Plaza Drive, and turn left. From Southwest Suburbs
