The Art Institute of Seattle is located on Seattle's waterfront in the heart of downtown. We're an urban campus composed of three facilities in which you will find creative environments designed to bring out our students' best.
South Campus
The South Campus includes our building located at 2323 Elliott Avenue and the Industrial Design Technology Shop located across Elliott at 55 Bell Street. The South Campus building houses classrooms, audio and video studios, photography studios and labs, fabric and interior design sample room, airbrush studio, a student store, a student lounge, and a student copy center. There is also a gallery in which student, faculty, alumni and touring exhibits bring art into the campus 12 months a year. The South Campus also includes the Administration, Admissions, Student Financial Services, Student Accounting, Registrar, Café, the main Academic Affairs offices, and Education Services. The South Campus Bell Street building is utilized primarily by the Industrial Design Technology students and is equipped with a woodshop, sculpture room, finishing room and additional classrooms.
North Campus
The North Campus is located two blocks north in the Seattle Trade and Technology Center at 2600 Alaskan Way. The Art Institute North Campus occupies the fifth floor, first floor and the ground floor/Alaskan Way level of the Seattle Trade and Technology Center. The fifth floor contains classrooms, sewing rooms, fashion display windows, the library, the Career Services Department, the Student Affairs Department and The Art Institute Culinary facilities including professionally equipped kitchens, pantries and “Portfolio,” our public restaurant. The first floor is shared by both Argosy University and the Art Institute, housing Human Resources, Property Management and Technology support. The ground floor/Alaskan Way level contains the Technology Center (including computer labs), additional Academic Affairs offices, the Public Relations office, a student lounge, a student copy center, and the Computer Technician’s workroom.
