Open Mic Night

Can you tap? Can you play guitar, can you turn a lyrical phrase? If you’ve got an ounce of creative bone in your body, then you should check out the quarterly Open Mic Nights, sponsored by Student Affairs.

Open to students, staff and faculty, performances have included Shakespearean soliloquies, snare drum solos, beat-box and spoken word, rockin guitar and alt-country folk music. The event usually happens on a Friday evening in the Photo Studio, which is transformed into an intimate setting, complete with stage, audio, and low-key lighting. And with free pizza thrown in, too, it’s always a good time.
