Resources to help you succeed

You’ve got challenging classes, time management concerns, family and friends and social obligations. Not to mention all of the great things to do in Seattle and you want to do them all – the cool clubs, the funky coffee shops, the Space Needle, street musicians at the Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square art galleries, Experience Music Project and sparkling Puget Sound just a stone’s throw from campus.

How do you manage? Learning to live on your own, adjusting to a new environment and keeping up with your studies can be difficult. But The Art Institute of Seattle is ready to help you out.

  • Need a place to live? You can make a smooth transition into school-sponsored housing with the help of the Student Affairs Housing Staff. School-sponsored housing is just blocks from campus. It’s convenient and you’ll be surrounded by a great community of people who share similar interests.
  • Need someone to talk to? Our Student Affairs department knows that to do well you have to feel well. We have counseling and support services addressing issues of emotional well-being.
  • Need help with a disability concern? We offer academic adjustments/auxiliary aids and support services to students with disabilities. Our disability counselor assists qualified students in identifying reasonable and appropriate academic adjustments and in supporting their success at The Art Institute of Seattle.
  • Need career advice? Our Career Services department is dedicated to helping you succeed with your career plans. Our Career Advisors have partnerships with local and national employers and will help you learn how to interview, how to polish your resume, how to network with employers and more. They will keep you abreast of what employers are looking for.
  • Need a part-time job? If you want to earn a little pocket change while going to school our Student Employment Advisor can help you find a part-time job that is compatible with your class schedule.
  • Need help? A college education is an investment and our Student Financial Services department is here to make that investment not only possible but accessible. SFS staff knows the ins and outs of student scholarships, grants and loans. They’ll review your needs and help guide you through the process.
