Facilities & Equipment

The Art Institute of California, Sunnyvale occupies approximately 53,000 square feet and boasts the advantages of a newly renovated site, including a campus equipped with classrooms, studios, laboratories, offices, student lounges, a library, and an exhibition gallery. The size of our campus has allowed The Art Institute of California,Sunnyvale to embrace a tight-knit culture of multidisciplinary collaboration and provides students with the opportunity to access educational resources and equipment with great ease. The class sizes on this campus – no more than 35 students in lab sessions and no more than 40 students in lectures sessions – ensure that student swill be given personal assistance in the classroom and the opportunity to use equipment tailored to the needs of each program of study.

Equipment provided at The Art Institute of California, Sunnyvale is specific to the program of study; this includes but is not limited to projectors, editing decks, PC and Macintosh computers, printers, and equipped kitchens. Each student will be able to acquire an understanding of the fundamental principles of equipment that he/she would be likely to encounter in an entry-level position in the field. Such equipment must be shared by students. Accordingly, The Art Institute of California, Sunnyvale cannot guarantee students hands-on usage of equipment beyond that called for in the curricula. To complete the requirements of the program, each student may find it necessary to schedule use of the equipment outside the normal classroom hours.
