Graphic Design, Web Design & Interactive Media, Media Arts & Animation, Game Art & Design, Culinary Arts, Culinary Management, Baking & Pastry, Fashion & Retail Marketing, Advertising, and Interior Design students may participate in The Art Institute of Tampa’s Internship Program as part of their normal course of study.
Scheduled at the end of a student’s program, these credit-earning internships allow students to apply their new skills in a real-world setting. Internships are required in most programs at The Art Institute of Tampa and constitute a partnership between the student, Career Services and Academic Affairs. Seminars are held throughout the quarter to familiarize students with internship requirements, to discuss best practices for securing an internship, and to share internship opportunities with students. During the seminars, students will receive appropriate paperwork such as timesheets, employer agreements, assessments, syllabus, etc. Students must complete an internship seminar (attendance will be taken) before registering for the class. In addition, students must present a signed internship agreement to their Academic Department Director before registering for the class. This process encourages students to be proactive in securing an internship.
