[Tampa, FL December 10, 2012] – The Art Institute of Tampa, a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design, announces the 2013 Passion for Fashion Scholarship Competition, a competition for high school seniors to bring their fashion ideas to life for the opportunity to earn a tuition scholarship.
“Often times, high school seniors know they have a special love for fashion, but they aren’t sure how to begin or where to begin pursuing their careers in such a dynamic industry,” said Kate Campbell, academic department coordinator for the Fashion & Retail Management program at The Art Institute of Tampa. “The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Scholarship Competition is a creative, hands-on way to get you in the running for the opportunity to earn a tuition scholarship to The Art Institute of Tampa.”
High school seniors scheduled to graduate in 2013 are challenged to take the first step and enter the competition in the Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management category. Deadline for entries into the competition is midnight (PT), February 14, 2013.
Local competitions will take place at each participating Art Institutes school throughout the U.S. and Canada. Each local Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management competition winner will earn a $3,000 tuition scholarship to The Art Institute of Tampa. Local first place winners will move on to the national competition in Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management.
In the Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management category, seniors are required to submit images of a fashion trend board, predicting the next big trend in fashion. For more details on how to enter, entry requirements and official rules, visit: www.AiCompetitions.com/fashion.
