Dear Guidance Counselor,

Allow us to thank you for all that you do. You play such an influential role in the lives of
your students and the path their futures follow.

Here at The Art Institute of Michigan — Troy we provide hands-on, technology-driven instruction in the areas of design, media arts, and fashion. Our dedicated faculty is largely comprisedof industry professionals who work to prepare our graduates for creative, innovative careers.

We want to welcome you to our new facility in Troy. We are excited to have you as our guests and discover more about what makes the Art Institite of Michigan — Troy so special. We would be honored if you could attend the National Guidance Counselor Information Event (GCIE).

Guidance Counselor Information Event
When: Friday, March 2, 2012 • 12:30PM – 1:30PM
Where: The Art Institute of Michigan — Troy • 1414 East Maple Rd., Suite 150 •Troy, MI 48083

Lunch will be served.

It will be a chance for you to talk to our Dean, get an overview of the school, as well as learn
about our degree programs, student services, and career services.

We will also discuss:
• What makes The Art Institute of Michigan — Troy unique
• Our accreditations and degree- offerings
• Why we may be a choice for creative minds
• The value of a portfolio and how to start one
• How guidance counselors can help prepare students for an arts education
