Art Institute of Tucson Student Film to Screen at 2009 Arizona International Film Festival

(Tucson, AZ) April 22, 2009 — A film created by The Art Institute of Tucson students has been accepted into the 2009 Arizona International Film Festival. The film is being screened as part of the IndieFilms BY IndieYouth program Saturday April 25, 2:30pm at the Screening Room at 127 E. Congress in Tucson.

The short film, titled "Awakening, was made as part of the Digital Cinematography course taught by instructor, Larry Foster. The 4-minute long film is a surreal look at a young woman's journey to find her way through a nightmarish desert landscape.

“I think the film is beautiful and well crafted with a nice blend of visual poetry and melancholy,” said Robert Loomis, Digital Film and Video Production faculty member. “I have heard several students talk highly of the work.”
