Summer’s Cool Saturday Art Fundamentals Workshops

Open to the Public
3-Week Classes Begin June 6th and July 11th, 2009

These interactive art classes are open to the general public and will help you develop new skills, sharpen your existing talent and connect with other creative individuals in the Tucson area. These hands-on classes are taught by our professional faculty Saturday mornings 9:00am – 12:00pm. Classes are held for 3 weeks at our campus at 5099 East Grant Road. Courses offered:

ART FUNDAMENTALS
Develop your artistic expression through a series of creative studio projects:

Drawing
Saturday June 6, 13, 20
9:00am-12:00pm $75 for 3-day workshop
Instructor: Noel Day
Visual awareness is expanded through the drawing process. Starting with simple forms and progressing to more complex organic forms, this workshop builds on drawing techniques, composition and individual creative expression.

Painting
Saturday July 11, 18, 25
9:00am-12:00pm $75 for 3-day workshop
Instructor: Vytas Sakalas
This workshop includes still-life object painting, landscape and abstraction. Palette-mixing technique and color studies will also be emphasized. This workshop builds on the use of color to create form and techniques of painting.
