Summer’s Cool Saturday Culinary Arts Workshops

Open to the Public
3-Week Classes Begin June 6th and July 11th, 2009

These interactive art classes are open to the general public and will help you develop new skills, sharpen your existing talent and connect with other creative individuals in the Tucson area. These hands-on classes are taught by our professional faculty Saturday mornings 9:00am – 12:00pm. Classes are held for 3 weeks at our campus at 5099 East Grant Road. CULINARY ARTS
Explore international recipes and hone your culinary skills in Tucson’s newest cooking and dining labs:

French Cuisine
Saturday June 6, 13, 20
9:00am-12:00pm      $135 for 3-day series
Instructor: Chef Odell Baskerville
This workshop explores classical and contemporary recipes from France, including sauces, entrée production and presentation, single and composed salads, and vinaigrettes.
All attendees participate in the cooking process, and then sit down to enjoy the meal they have prepared.

Italian Cuisine
Saturday July 11, July 25, August 1
9:00am-12:00pm      $135 for 3-day series
Instructor: Chef Odell Baskerville
This workshop will focus on regional specialties from northern and southern Italy.  Emphasis will be placed on regional ingredients, flavor profiles, preparation, and techniques, including from-scratch pasta making, grilling, roasting, as well as plating and garnishing.
