Design – Faculty

Rosemary Bright, Lead Instructor, Interior Design

Rosemary Bright grew up in the Chicago area, surrounded by the built works of Louis Sullivan, Mies van der Rohe and Frank Lloyd Wright.  Rosemary's interest in architecture led her to pursue undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma.  Upon graduation, she began her architectural career as a Design Assistant for LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad, working from a jobsite trailer as the park developed around her.  Subsequently, she worked as a Job Captain for an architectural firm in Point Loma, working on public and institutional architectural projects for UCSD, USD, SDSU, and Coronado Middle School.  Rosemary relocated to Arizona in 2001 when she accepted a position as Lead Commercial Architect at a firm in Tucson, advancing her experience in both residential and commercial construction.  After four years in Tucson, she opened her own architectural practice in sustainable residential and commercial design.

Rosemary has been teaching at The Art Institute of Tucson since October 2008.  In addition to teaching, she chairs several committees and serves as faculty advisor for the Interior Design student club.

Rosemary holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. at Argosy University, with a focus in Marketing.  She is a Registered Architect in Arizona, and a LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Green Building Council, with a specialty in Commercial Interiors.
