Every student is here to learn from the experienced faculty. They've come for industry skills and the connections they'll get. But they're also here for the gear: the equipment and resources it takes to create a professional end result. The Art Institute of Vancouver has three convenient locations in the Greater Vancouver area.
Burnaby
The main location of The Art Institute of Vancouver is in Burnaby at 3264 Beta Avenue. This campus covers over 54,000 square feet across four separate buildings. The Entertainment Technology Centre (ETC) building encompasses over 21,000 sq.ft. and has two recording studios, a 'mix-to-picture' surround sound studio and an automated music production facility as well as a film soundstage, extensive digital video, effects and animation labs, student lounge and the offices of Career and Student Services. The South Building houses three recording studios, game labs and a lecture theatre while animation classroom and labs can be found in the East Building along with an Acting studio. In the North Building, you can find an Internet broadcast studio, the Academic Resource Centre and the student gallery which exhibits student and faculty art work.
Renfrew
The Renfrew location at 2665 Renfrew Street is a brand new, purpose built campus, encompassing 80,000 square feet, situated right next to the Renfrew SkyTrain station, at East 12th Avenue. Here, where media, design and fashion courses are currently taught, you’ll find a comfortable and stimulating environment made up of classrooms, technology labs, art rooms, a fabric and interior design sample room and stunning student gallery. Expansive lounges, mezzanine views, skylights and large glass windows complement the learning environment. A policy of liberal access to facilities and equipment, second to none, creates an environment where art and creativity blend seamlessly with technology.
The International Culinary School
The International Culinary School is located at 609 Granville Street, on the corner of Dunsmuir Street, in downtown Vancouver. The school is attached to the Pacific Centre Mall and has administration, classrooms / lecture facilities and three fully equipped industrial kitchens on the third floor. On the ground floor is Culinaria, our school run 40-seat bistro-style restaurant, where supervised students perfect their skills in creating and serving dishes to lunch time diners.
