Every student is here to learn from the experienced faculty. They've come for industry skills and connections they'll get. But they're also here for the gear: the equipment and resources it takes to create a professional end result.
The Art Institute of Vancouver has three convenient locations in the Greater Vancouver area.
Burnaby
The main location of The Art Institute of Vancouver is in Burnaby at 3264 Beta Avenue. This campus cover s over 54,000 sq. ft. across four separate buildings. The Entertainment Technology Centre (ETC) building encompasses over 21,000 sq.ft. and has two recording studios, a 'mix-to-picture' surround sound studio and an automated music production facility as well as a film soundstage, extensive digital video, effects and animation labs, student lounge and the offices of Career and Student Services. The South Building houses three recording studios, game labs and a lecture theatre while animation classroom and labs can be found in the East Building along with an Acting studio. In the North Building, you can find an Internet broadcast studio, the Academic Resource Centre and the student gallery which exhibits student work 12 months a year.
Expansive lounges, mezzanine views, skylights and large glass windows complement the learning environment. A policy of liberal access to facilities and equipment, second to none, creates an environment where art and creativity blend seamlessly with technology.
Vancouver
The two locations in Vancouver are situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver near shopping, arts, and entertainment centres. The media, design and fashion location at 1090 West Georgia Street occupies the 6th and 7th floors has views of the busy downtown core and the North Shore mountains and is two blocks North of the main fashion centre, Robson Street. Here, you’ll find a comfortable and stimulating facility made up of classrooms, technology labs, art rooms, fabric and interior design sample room and student gallery.
The culinary location at 609 Granville Street is attached to Pacific Centre Mall and has administration, classrooms / lecture facilities and three industrial kitchens on the third floor and a school run 40-seat restaurant on street level where students can service clientele.
