Credit Transfers

The Art Institute of Vancouver recognizes postsecondary academic work accomplished by its students at other accredited institutions. Credits awarded for post secondary courses that a student has successfully completed at other institutions can be transferred if those courses are equivalent to the ones offered at The Art Institute of Vancouver. Previous work experience cannot be awarded credit.

• Students can state the courses in the Transfer Credit Application Form for approval and submit with a copy of the result slip no later than one month after notification of acceptance.
• Courses that are approved for transfer credit will not have grades but "Exempt" status reflected on their result slip.
• Grade point averages will be computed based on grades awarded for courses completed at The Art Institute of Vancouver.
• Tuition will not be charged for courses that are approved for transfer credit. Transfer credit will be awarded at the discretion of the school and the school reserves the right on the final decision.
