Student Employment
student employment

While you are in school, there is a Student Employment Advisor who provides support and assistance to help you secure part-time employment. This is done through career fairs and individual advising in the areas of résumé and job application preparation. Job leads for part-time work are available through the Student Employment Advisor, on the Student Affairs website and posted by the Career Services Centre.

Our Career Services advisors are committed to each student's success. They are excited about the fields they work in and that excitement reaches you and helps you in your job search. We actively assist students in finding entry-level positions upon graduation. Here are just a few of the ways we help:

Student Resources Optimal Resume Software
Optimal Resume software is an online resource that students at The Art Institute of Vancouver have access to. It allows students to create resumes using industry-based templates and other features. It also provides opportunities to rehearse and practice interviewing using a Webcam and audio. Student users can create a Web site that hosts their resumes and that is also searchable through Resume GPS and the Internet. Learn more.
