Creative Inspiration"It's very fulfilling when you see your product on the sales floor leaving in people's shopping bags, when you manage and achieve your financial plans,"
Lucinda says. "It's a psychological game of understanding the trend cycle, knowing your customers' needs and figuring out where those paths cross. Most days I can't imagine doing anything else."
Getting Out ThereLucinda started her career by ascending through buyers positions with regional department stores before pursuing opportunities in specialty stores, all the while developing and buying private label product. Presented with a chance to do that full time with Saks, Inc., Lucinda took it, which led to her assuming her current responsibilities with Charming Shoppes.
Lucinda is a 1991 graduate from Bradley Academy's Fashion Marketing program, then known as Fashion Merchandising.
