Types of Aid
Financing Your Education A good education is an investment. For most families, careful planning is needed to make it affordable. Our financial aid office will help you prepare a personal financial plan, and assist you in applying for grants, loans, and institutional aid. We can also help you identify possible scholarship opportunities.
Grants The Art Institute of York Pennsylvania students can apply for the Federal PELL grant program by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Apply now by clicking on the FAFSA image to the left.

Some students can receive additional help through the Federal SEOG program, the Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant, and/or institutional aid through the Career Student Assistance Foundation. All of these programs are need-based. However, they are never enough to cover the total cost of education.
Loans Students can apply for the Federal Stafford loan.
Dependent students can borrow up to $3500 for their first year, and $4500 for their second year. Independent students can borrow up to an additional $4000 through the Unsubsidized Stafford loans.
Parents of dependent students can borrow additional funds through the parent loan (PLUS) program. Click on the SallieMae image to the left to access the Online Loan Counseling area of the Sallie Mae website.
