Student Transfers

The Art Institute of York — Pennsylvania may accept credit for comparable work done at other accredited schools. To be considered, a student must apply for advanced standing and submit an official transcript of grades from the other institution.

Courses that are transferred must be for the same number of credits and the grade earned must be at a 2.0 or higher. An in-depth portfolio review may also be required and the right to request additional information is reserved. No more than 50% of the credits required for a degree can be secured by this method.

Decisions concerning the acceptance of credits are made at the sole discretion of the institution that is asked to receive the credits. An institution's accreditation does not guarantee that credits earned at that school will be accepted for transfer by another school. The Art Institute of York — Pennsylvania makes no guarantee regarding transferability of its credits to other institutions. Students who are considering continuing their education at, or transferring to another institution should contact the registrar of that institution to determine acceptance of credits.

Transcripts will not be released without a signature. Transcripts are subject to a $5.00 fee and a check or money order must be made payable to The Art Institute of York — Pennsylvania. Cash must be paid directly to the Business Office.
