What's Molly doing today?

Molly works for Home Box Office as a Costumer/Stylist in the wardrobe department for the HBO series "The Wire". Her primary responsibility is huge -- to handle all types of uniforms and wardrobe for the show's principal characters and extras. On set while the cameras are rolling, Molly's chief duty is wardrobe continuity. She also works as a stylist on television commercials.

Creative inspiration

After "test driving" a few more traditional college majors, Molly finally listened to her inner voice calling to her to use her innate creativity. She cites the first day of her Color Theory class that literally changed the direction of her life and provided the impetus for her to get into the "business".

Getting out there

It's one thing to enjoy fashion and have an eye for style; it's quite another to commit yourself to a career in that world. After graduating from Bradley, Molly accepted an instructor's invitation to help him in his costuming job for a local performing arts center, working as a backstage dresser for a few theater productions. She also designed two costumes for a production company that were used in local commercials. That began the three years of persistence that led to Molly's HBO gig.

Molly is a 2001 graduate from Bradley Academy's Fashion Marketing program.
