The Art Institute of Austin, a branch of The Art Institute of Houston + Uvalde Tragedy Event Benefit

The Art Institute of Austin’s creative community came together on July 17 in support of the individuals and families impacted by the Uvalde, Texas tragedy. The ”Central Texas Cares” benefit concert for Uvalde and The Robb Elementary Memorial Fund included a wide array of talent such as Texas Country singer/songwriter Brandi Behlen, along with Chloe Brevelle and Patricia Rendulic from The Lost Pines Art Center, Harvey Giblin and Pierre Lafaille Jr. of The Art Institute of Austin, Krystal Grimes with Bastrop County Cares, and Danny and Joe Oviedo from Oviedo Sound & Production.

The day focused on regional musical artists and included a silent auction of items donated from local businesses and artists. The event was livestreamed and allowed real-time donations to be submitted online to boost the final donation total. 100% of funds raised were directed to the Robb Elementary Memorial Fund, based in Uvalde, Texas.
