Current and former students of The Art Institute of California—Orange County, a campus of Argosy University, are participating in the upcoming Spring / Summer 2018 Orange County Fashion Week.
The Fashion Week event is slated to take place from September 5-8, 2017 and will feature designs that highlight the beach cities of California’s luxury market.
Alisha Needham, a current Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design student, will be a featured on September 6 as part of the couture event at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach. In addition to her studies, Needham is a wardrobe stylist and costume designer for the film industry. Drawing inspiration from this experience, Needham’s one-of-a-kind, avant garde designs often offer a modern take on periods such as the baroque and Rococo eras.
Vanessa Lozada, a 2013 Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design graduate, will also be showcasing her work at Fashion Week. Her clothing will be featured as part of the show’s Day 3: Art of Travel & Style at Island Hotel’s Garden Atrium. With a passion for sustainable fashion Lazada has a tendency toward simplicity, elegance, and femininity in her sophisticated designs.
