Social Media Event: Introduction to LinkedIn

About: LinkedIn is an online social network for business professionals. It is very similar to Facebook, but you can use LinkedIn to network with other professionals in your field, find more information about a prospective employer, and find jobs as well. In this webinar, you will learn how to set up your own profile, get a better idea of how LinkedIn can help you network with other professionals, and see how you can use LinkedIn to help look for job opportunities.

AIO Student Experience Welcome Webinar

About: A great event for new students! The Online Student Support Specialists invite you to take part in a live orientation session right from your computer. This time will be spent reviewing the many resources in the Student Portal and navigation in the graded course. During this time, you will also have an opportunity to order a student id, register for other events, and learn how to use your student email. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the session at the scheduled time.

NTHS: Q&A Meeting for Officer Elections

About: Our student chapter of NTHS is looking to fill three Officer Positions: President, Vice-President (President Elect), and Secretary/Vice President of Communications. We will be accepting self-nominations now through the end of June. This meeting will review the various positions and provide time for Q&A for all active members of NTHS.

About: Have you ever wondered what AutoCAD can do for you? Why is it an important tool in interior design? This workshop will talk about the benefits of reusable content, with an overview of using layers to organize your drawings, using blocks, and creating templates. It will also cover some ideas on best practices and ways to be efficient using AutoCAD. About: Join full-time faculty member, DaShawn Hall, as he walks you through a complete review of modeling tools, the modeling process and the types of modeling in 3DSMAX. We will review: Polygon Modeling, NURBS Modeling, Vertices, Edges, and Polygons Overview, Edgelooping, Using Modifiers with Modeling, Working with Space Warps, and Architectural Tools. We will walk through the basics by creating some simple objects from concept to final render. This project will aim at techniques you will need to be successful in several 3D modeling courses.

About: Hosted by Professor Nina Stanley, these interactive drawing sessions will focus on techniques used in gesture drawing of humans and animals in various media formats. The sessions will feature live gesture drawing of figures and animals, anatomical study, media demonstrations, and will offer general artistic fun and comradery! These sessions are open to everyone!
ART1000 Live!
When: Every Wednesday night! 7:00pm-8:00pm EST
About: The full-time faculty staff of the General Education Art Department will be hosting these one hour, weekly sessions to help you enrich your grasp of the material and gain useful assignment guidance. Individual questions will be answered so come ready to talk or just sit back and listen in. Extra credit will be offered! Students may earn 10 points per week for a total of 30 extra credit points in ART1000 for attending.
English Live!
When: Every Friday! 2:00pm-3:00pm EST (No session 6/23/2017)
About: Are you in an English course and not sure how to compose your thoughts into a paper? Are you struggling with transitioning from paragraph to paragraph? Could you use some help with grammar and sentence structure? Need to research a topic but are not sure where to start?If you answered yes to any of these questions, our virtual event English Live may be able to provide the help you need! This 60 minute, weekly study session is designed to address any questions you have regarding English, such as: Composition, Mechanics, Formatting, Research Techniques, and more! These virtual sessions are open to all students but we strongly encourage any student taking an English course to attend! Please come prepared with questions that we can address.
MTH1010 Live!
When: Sessions every Monday night! 7:30pm-8:30pm EST
About: You are invited to a 60-minute weekly informal study session with a full-time math faculty member every Monday evening. These weekly sessions are designed to answer any questions you may have, help you enrich your grasp of the material and gain useful assignment guidance. Attending each session is worth 10 bonus points for a maximum of 30 points toward the total points earned for the MTH1010 course. Please come prepared with specific questions to help you best. Certainly all questions are welcome but general questions are difficult to answer in a short period of time.
Art History Live!
When: Sessions every Monday night! 8:00pm-9:00pm EST
About: What can art reveal to us about the world? About ourselves? Each week join art history faculty and students for an in-depth exploration and discussion of art work. Feel free to engage in the conversation or sit back and listen. Extra credit offered to those taking art history classes.
