EMMY® Nominated, American Chef Nathan Lyon Joins Guest Speaker Series at Ai Washington

American chef, Television personality, and author Nathan Lyon displayed his culinary skills at The Art Institute of Washington, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, by hosting a cooking demonstration and a cookbook signing event for Great Food Starts Fresh on December 6.
In addition, his visit was captured for the Guest Speaker Series, a series of videos directed and produced by students featuring nationally known industry professionals in the arts and culinary fields. Students got the chance to watch Lyon prepare a dish from his best-selling cookbook and ask questions about careers in Culinary.
Lyon, a native of Arlington, VA began working in the food industry at the Army Navy Country Club as a soldier, and then as a cafe manager. He became a finalist on the Food Network television reality series The Next Food Network Star in 2005. Lyon lost to Guy Fieri (with whom he became close friends during the competition), but began hosting a series by Discovery Health called A Lyon in the Kitchen.
