Students working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design at The Art Institute of Austin, a branch of The Art Institute of Houston, recently had their work selected for a runway show held by the Breast Cancer Research Center. The students, from Luisa Gil Fandino’s Applied Textiles class, later had their work auctioned off to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Center.
The event was an opportunity to get the students’ work in front of a large audience, while showcasing the textile techniques they experimented with in class.
- The students:
- Courtney Marshall
- Day Avery
- Deanna Krueger
- Leticia Guiterrez
- Lucano Molina-McPhail
