On October 7, 2017 Chef Bernardo, Chef Dustin and 10 of their Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale student volunteers prepared hors d’oeuvres for the cocktail portion of Chefs Helping the Homeless.  This is the 6th year Ai Fort Lauderdale and Chefs Helping the Homeless have partnered. The culinary bites included Conk Fritters, seared Mahi Mahi, Jerk Chicken and Churrasco with Chimichurri.

Chef’s Helping the Homeless is a major fundraising event for the operations of The Broward Partnership, a non-profit organization that serves the local homeless community providing shelter, medical, mental health, dental care, and career services.

The event was attended by 125 guests and, throughout the course of the evening, The Broward Partnership reached their fundraising goal of $57,000.
