Phoenix’s Dan Boman Named 2017 American Culinary Federation Pastry Chef of the Year
Chef Dan Boman, instructor, The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Phoenix, was recently named the 2017 American Culinary Federation (ACF) Pastry Chef of the Year. He earned the award by first winning the Western Region title, then competing against his regional counterparts during the event “Cook. Craft. Create. ACF National Convention and Show” in Orlando, Florida July 9-13, 2017. As the winner, he was presented with a $5,000 cash prize.
The ACF Pastry Chef of the Year award is sponsored by Plugrá® European Style Butter. According to ACT, the award recognizes a pastry chef who displays a passion for the craft, has an accomplished reputation in the pastry field and has helped educate others by sharing skills and knowledge.
