The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Philadelphia was recently named one of the top ten culinary arts schools in the Northeast by “Food Drink & Franchise” magazine. The school offers programs in culinary arts and culinary management, with a focus on international cuisine.

“Food Drink & Franchise” magazine applauded The Art Institute of Philadelphia’s art deco building and dedication to the arts—as well as its hands-on approach to learning. The onsite restaurant was also highlighted as an exciting opportunity for culinary students to participate in all facets of running a restaurant. “At the student-run Petite Passion Restaurant, students get to build (their) work ethic and stoke their own culinary passions with 11 weeks of hands-on real world training,” according to the magazine.

In addition to fine-tuning their knife skills and classical culinary techniques, culinary students learn nutrition and menu planning—preparing them to present the latest flavors and culinary trends to hungry patrons.
