Fort Lauderdale Culinary Students Take First Place in ACF South Florida Fall Harvest Festival

Recently, culinary students from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale took part in the American Culinary Federation (ACF) South Florida Chapter’s Fall Harvest Festival.
The event took place at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1966 and served as the ACF South Florida Chapter’s annual fundraiser. The event featured carnival game favorites and showcased local culinary schools.
The culinary students competed in a head-to-head competitions to prepare appetizers and entrees utilizing mystery ingredients. The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale claimed the top prize in the competition.
The Broward chapter of the American Culinary Federation is dedicated to networking and supporting chefs through the pledge in the Culinarian’s Code, helping future culinarians obtain jobs, supporting vendors, and becoming actively involved in community events. ACF’s objective is to create a strong bond within the community and bring new exciting talent into the culinary arts environment.
