Gallery Show “Home” Featuring Student Photography Now Open
March 22, 2017
The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, celebrated the Gallery Show “Home” opening on March 22 with a well-attended reception and light refreshments.
“Home” showcases the work of seven students from across the Digital Photography programs, where each photographer was asked to explore and capture what the notion of home means to them.
For many, the meaning of home involves a place, a feeling, or person they care about. However, while we are accustomed to thinking home should be a sense of belonging or assurance, that isn’t always the case. Instead, the “Home” Gallery Show strives to emphasize how “between the borders of private and public life lie the connections and contradictions of where we spend most of our lives.”
According to Gallery Director, John Luer, EdD, “The gallery collection showed strong senior work and a strong understanding of layout, design, concept, and photography.”
The show was curated by the Photography Department students and faculty and will run through May 4, 2017. All are invited to visit the gallery, which is located at 674 E. Brier Drive and open during regular campus hours.
