On February 17, culinary students from The Art Institute of Houston assisted lauded chefs Graham Elliot and Hugh Acheson in catering the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition launch party at Houston VIBES. Chefs Terrence Gallivan, Seth Siegel Gardner, Tyson Cole, and The Art Institute of Houston graduate Chris Shepherd also cooked for the celebration.

Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen was also at the event, held at Post HTX in Houston. Following the launch party on Friday evening, the weekend’s events continued with music from local Houston artists—and a headlining performance by Grammy Award-winning producer and DJ, Diplo.

Chef Chris Shepherd, who in 1996 earned an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Houston, is a James Beard Award Winner and owner of Underbelly, One Fifth, and Hay Merchant Restaurants in Houston.
