As an entry to a community contest held by Blizzard Entertainment, the makers of Starcraft 2, Nathan Glynn (BS in Audio Production, 2016) and his collaborator Bruce Reif created a two-player co-op mission that added new gameplay ideas and stories to the Starcraft universe. Designing the mission was much like creating a game from scratch—Bruce detailed and beautified the level, built UI, and wrote the majority of the logic for the game. Nathan wrote and voice acted a character that helps the players, added enemy armies and bases to the map, and helped fill in the gameplay logic through extensive testing.
Their mission, Part and Parcel, was ultimately selected for the grand prize after four months of work creating the map and three rounds of voting and judging by both Blizzard and the Starcraft 2 community. This awarded Nathan and Bruce the chance to attend Blizzcon 2017, where Part and Parcel was announced as an official addition to the Starcraft 2 co-op missions.

Nathan practiced crafting interactive multimedia experiences through a number of projects and club activities while studying Audio Production at The Illinois Institute of Art—Schaumburg, including sound design and integration for the indie adventure game, The Song of Seven. He was also the 2016 recipient of The Illinois Institute of Art—Schaumburg President's Award. He currently is working on a number of collaborative corporate and community projects involving both virtual reality and audio production.
